George Tobias (July 14, 1901 – February 27, 1980) was an American stage, film and television actor. He appeared in nearly 100 films, including The Jolson Story and The Glenn Miller Story, and had a recurring role on the popular TV series, Bewitched, as Abner Kravitz. Tobias was also an accomplished Broadway performer, having appeared in such plays as Brighton Beach Memoirs and Falsettos. He was known for his distinctive voice and strong character portrayals. Tobias died in 1980 at the age of 78.
